Welcome.

This website is written (and illustrated) by a man named, for local purposes, E.G. Moen. Originally I envisioned it as "a place for me to share some reflective, creative, and functional pieces that are, for me, kind of a sideline of my submissive sexuality."

That has happened, to such an extent that I feel like I need to index some of what's available here.

• There are a lot of biographical stories about growing up kinky, and my life with my wife and domme, Murre.
• One of those stories contains a first-ever translation of the first-ever first-person discussion of BDSM, in c.1480.
• As that might suggest, I'm interested in the history of BDSM, and I've written about that a bit.
• I've archived some writing by other people that I thought was illustrative, and/or in danger of getting lost.
• I've also collected my notes on scholarly research into BDSM, across 100 or so papers. (There's a bibliography.)
• I've done some of my own research, too. I've mapped the way people's kinks change over time, and I've looked at the way people re-frame BDSM images in their minds.
• And I've written some more theoretical stuff, and some reflections on books I've read.
• I take at least four selfies a year.
• I've interviewed a number of kinky folks who I find interesting (for different reasons).
• I have created a crowd-sourced taxonomy of kink, which you can browse and/or add to.
• I ran a social-orgasm-denial game called the Banded Orchid, whose write-ups are archived here.
• I've written a bit of BDSM fiction. The two big pieces are Brunnian Braid and Hope Springs (still in progress), but there are others. If you're only interested in specific tropes, there's an index for that.
• And I make toys, mostly custom toys. They are partially a charity fund-raiser.
• There's lots of other stuff, too, and there's a tag system to help find it, if you like that sort of thing.
